The Jackson Legacy Foundation actively seeks to identify and support organizations that advance the mission and legacy of the Jackson family foundation.

Funding priorities for the Jackson Legacy Foundation are
a) education b) racial, social and gender equality, and c) preservation of the Jackson legacy. More details about these priorities are below.

  • Grant applications are accepted on a continual basis throughout the year and typically awarded in December and June.
  • To learn more about past recipients you can visit the latest Impact Report here.
  • To apply, please send an email to grants@jacksonlegacyfoundation.org with the following information:
    • Describe your organization’s mission and history (1000 words maximum)
    • Describe your organization’s programs (5000 words maximum)
    • Statement of need/request and target population (3000 words maximum)
    • Describe how you measure outcomes (2000 words maximum)
    • Please describe your organization's financial position (2000 words maximum)
    • If you have received a grant from JLF in the past, please state the year(s) and describe how funds were used (3000 words maximum)
    • Include the following:
      • List of Board of Directors & senior staff members
      • Most recent fiscal year audit and/or 990

EDUCATION

Investment in individuals and organizations that provide access and remove barriers to academic education as well as education through the arts and athletics for those in need.
(PreK- Higher ED, in and after school)

RACIAL, SOCIAL
& GENDER EQUALITY

Investment in organizations that combat the barriers of discrimination and promote human and civil rights for all people.

 
LEGACY GIFTS

Grants that are longstanding and personal to the Jackson Family and/or further preserve assets that sustain the Jackson legacy. Such legacy values include nurturing leadership, compassionate treatment of the poor and supporting demonstrated personal fortitude.
